Born in Beirut, Lebanon, into an Armenian family, Armen discovered his passion for the arts at a young age. While he enjoyed music classes, painting quickly became his primary focus. His early dedication was evident as he won several painting competitions organized within his high school during his formative years. As time passed, Armen devoted every available moment in the classroom to sketching, doodling, and experimenting with shapes and lines using simple tools such as pens and notebooks.
The true turning point in his artistic journey came during his university years. While studying graphic design, Armen developed a strong foundation in the principles of art and design. His studies introduced him to color theory, composition, light and shadow, contrast, and the discipline of creating aesthetically compelling works that are genuine, original, and engaging.
Beyond academia, Armen explored various professional paths that further shaped his artistic vision. He worked for many years as an outdoor sports guide, gaining a deep appreciation for nature and the importance of preserving it. Later, he managed a print shop that he helped establish, collaborating with a diverse range of craftsmen including tailors, carpenters, metalworkers, and other specialists. These experiences enriched his understanding of materials, processes, and craftsmanship.
